The last day

The last day

As sure as the sun rise, this was the last day
I prayed to Allah, the most high and got on my way
The drive was peaceful thoughts to myself
Born by the river, relaxed is how I felt
On my way to the Audubon 166th & Broadway
They were finally ready to hear what I wanted to say
Detailed planned
I’m in high demand
Knowing that I’m in high esteem
The prophet came to me in a dream
Reminding me of my duty
My 6 feet never looked so small
My hair never looked so red
I’ve hung up on many a call
At every threat said.
“Brother minister its time”
Slow steps destiny decided
Never knew a feeling so fine
A thirst so unrequited
Out in the crowd, two brothers tussle
“Break it up, be calm, be cool”
I saw him, he looked directly at me
Fire, rage, and matter of fact in his eyes
Shortness of breath, blood for me to see
Sounding like sighs
As the second round
Sends me to the ground
I hear my Betty scream
“They’re killing my husband”
Reality finally matches my bad dream
30 shorts fired I herd them all
7 shots tore into my flesh
These chairs broke my fall
My last image was of our folks mess
Here on Feb 21, 1965, my spirit prepares to leave
For me I beg you not to grieve
The petty squabbles and failures of man
Will out live us all.

Implode

Implosion

Why can’t we skip past the foreplay
Skip the small talk until your lips part with nothing to say
You’re exhausted over emotion
Before my hands coats your body like lotion
You had no problem letting me have your body
Holding back your heart
I tell you, you got me
That’s where the battle start.
You’re leaning on the bed
Arms widely spread
Legs over my shoulder
Grabbin my head, im taking over
Back arch
As your lips part
Dripping
As I’m sippin
Whats released
Moans rise, silence decrease
Sheets wrinkle, against your hands
My conviction went against your plans
You wanted to make me wait
Your body didn’t participate
In that decision
So its overwritten
As your moan “ like that”
“Right there”
Touching your spot as my tongue disappear
Into the mountains of folds
Faster, faster it moves until you explode
Closing tightly the move was bold
Ice wet my lips, so your lips cold
Stroking your thighs is the code
Time to make you implode

Mother's Day

We’re no ordinary love
Silly me
At night kissing your picture secretly
Holding at eye level of just above
Talking to you like you’re here
Spirits all around, none do I fear
Peacefully
You scold me
Over decisions that include me
And I put off
Taking a day off
Wishing you could pause, give me a lesson
Just your energy is a blessing
So when I say night I never question
You saying night to
Rest in peace madre, I love & miss you
