Stolen

Stolen

We walked, we talked, and we made love
We had messages passed
She play fought and shove
Wasn’t concerned if we was to last
We just enjoyed the moment
Times passed, seasons changed
Our status we had to own it
Friends with benefits to partners we ranged

Having this conversation was strange
I understand why
We’ve stolen to much time
Deciding nothing as the clouds flowed by
The moon and the sun meeting on the same line
Like we should be

Now our broken promise you’re standing next to me
We said there was to be no discussion about relationship
Our happiness your friends had to tempt
Because they don’t have their own
Our joy is stolen because we owned it

Stolen memories from our dead baby
Still born
We honored that young God like he was still born
On his proposed birthday
Your friends say that’s what we get
Stolen was how in this life we exist

We stole time from our future to make out present
And our after glow was pleasant
As we shared your secretion
From tongue to tongue, lip to lip
Your fiending for this
This feeling of accomplishment
This feeling, this rush of us
See we weren’t together in the least
We have been together for years
Two fingers to our peers
We are united in our matrimony
Of thievery
