Roses Hunger

Roses Hunger

A rose between two thorns
Strike an unsuspecting finger
The finger is streaming blood
On the rose petals
Drip, drip
Receiving life from a human
Feeling the life from one to another
The rose reacts by bending its leaves
Toward the being
Craving the life
The rose grows
The thrones sharpen

The roses color
Conceals the blood
From unsuspecting
Prying eyes
As it soaks it up
Life beating
Bleeding
Down the green steam
Curling, twisting, turning
Down the stem
Before it hits the ground
Beginning to pool
The rose reaches like sunlight
Hungering for more
Bleeding over the special rose
